Carnival Pride 25th March 2018

We have just disembarked from the Carnival Pride after a 7 day Caribbean cruise. We had a fabulous time. The Cruise Director Leigh Xuereb, and his team were great. They kept us entertained the whole trip. The buffet had a great selection of food. Our cabin, a midship balcony, was roomy compared to some of the other cruise ships. We were pleasantly surprised with all the venues available on the Pride. The embarkation/disembarkation went very smoothly. Well done Carnival.

Did you do shore excursions, or go off on your own?

 

We did the Bahama House tour in Freeport. We were at a house across from the beach, and backing up to an inlet where you could kayak or swim. The grandkids loved it. We sat on the back porch, and had unlimited drinks.They served appetizers when we arrived, and a lunch before we left. They also had internet. The tour lasted 4.5 hours. It was a very relaxing tour, and enjoyable. There were a total of 28 people on the tour.

Leigh is an excellent cruise director, we miss him on Royal ships.

We did not use the Alchemy Bar. We frequented the Thirsty Frog where the games were for the grandkids, and had the pub trivia. I did not get the names of the bartenders.

We cruise the Pride this summer

 

 

Did they upgrade the internet services.

 

I heard they did the Vista in late Feb and were working their way to the other ships over the next few weeks and month.

We did not use the internet. Our daughter had the social package, and managed intermittent use. I spoke to a lady who had the premium package. She said that it was so slow that she requested and got a refund. We made good use of the Carnival Hub app which worked very well on the ships network.
