Manhattan Cruise Terminal to La Guardia Airport

Hi All, looking for some advice on getting from the Manhattan cruise terminal to La Guardia airport. We are on the Carnival Horizon transatlantic sailing which is due to dock at 8am on a Wednesday morning. Would we be able to make a 12:15 flight at La Guardia?

 

Also does anyone have an idea how much a taxi would cost for the journey? All suggestions / advice would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to make a 12:15 flight from LGA. Either car service (Carmel or Dial 7), Uber or yellow taxi can get you there.

I haven't done this myself yet, but I have seen people to recommend not getting a flight before 1pm. LGA has major construction for the next several years. Apparently that can cause major traffic issues.

On a weekend would be easier than on a weekday

A transatlantic cruise's crew and passengers are going to be subject to greater scrutiny from CBP than your garden-variety closed loop cruise, so there may be substantial delays in disembarkation. Given that, the fact that the cruise arrives on a weekday, and the construction at LGA, I'd be reluctant to book a flight that early.

 

 

Expect a car service or taxi to cost about $35-$45 plus tolls and tip.
