Have you contacted your hotel and/or their concierge to inquire? Many hotels in Japan (and Tokyo in particular, if that is where you'll be staying) partner with carriers to offer WiFi devices and may be able to provide you with additional information that you can compare to your other searches and any information you obtain from this board.
