Ultra Premiere offers for Fall 2018

The ultra offers are not very good.

We booked a bounce back balcony on the Breeze 14 day in November for less then $1700., the ultra price out today was over $3200. with a $1000. casino cash.

Just not worth it in our view!

The club has raised the prices of the cruises to where you're lucky if you save a couple hundred dollars per couple, per cruise.

At the same time, Royal in their club is giving away free (for port fees and taxes) interiors! Carnival has to wake up!

I was on an Elite a couple of months ago and the Guests were all talking about how the offers are going downhill and how they are getting better offers from other Non-CCL cruiselines.

Pretty soon Carnival will price themselves out of the Casino comp market.

That’s a heck of a deal! What was the promo code for that one if you don’t mind me asking?

Promo code does not matter unless you've received an invitation. If that particular deal hasn't been extended to you in an invitation, you won't be able to book it. Casino offers are by invitation only and the system loads them in accordingly. Sorry.

No need to be sorry as I knew that they are by invite only. I’m not that dumb. I wasn’t trying to enter a promotion code, I was simply curious as to what it was because my mom got some offers and I was seeing if there was rhyme or reason to the way the codes are read as to the degree of perks. Such as if a higher number means it’s better than a lower number and same with the letters. I didn’t ask to have an offer I didn’t qualify for, I was simply asking a question and I got it answered in a very nice way and I appreciate the previous poster letting me know. I like to learn things and understand as much as I can.

Hubby and I both received this offer but wowzers the price seems super high....I'm going to call and see what our casino cash is ...because I'd love to cruise the Horizon but not sure the price is worth it..

Ok I did call about casino cash

I had P3L I think and I only get 200 dollars..hubby had ultra and his code was P4L and he had NO CASINO CASH.

I'd love to sail the Horizon but not sure that I can do this seemingly overinflated price....we will see.. I may just pass and buy all those excursions I want for Alaska next June.

That is a great offer, and we'll see you in the casino, but we kept our bounce back price, and saved hundreds of dollars even with $1000. casino cash.

Our code was P5L.

An interior with this code would have cost more then our back to back balcony price!!!

You must be a big gambler to get that offer from Carnival, cause the offers the last few months have been very poor/much more expensive, compared to last year.

For others to compare to your offers,

To get this offer, I almost always exceed 7500 pts, usually I'm around 12-14,000 for a 7 day, 2 sea day cruise.

Most of my gambling is on sea days.

So on a 3 sea day cruise, I can hit 15,000+.

For this amount of gambling, on Royal, I'd get offered a free balcony, at least a free interior I could upgrade to.

An important reminder,,,,

If you accept a free casino offer from Carnival, and do not upgrade by spending some additional money, your points/sea days 'Will Not' count towards your loyalty club status.

A free casino offer that you do not upgrade, does not count in your total cruise days if you're trying to move up to platinum/diamond, etc...!

I booked Ultra on the Glory for Oct 20th - my sister & I will both get $500 casino cash and were able to book a balcony on Empress for only $1570 for both of us - so it will only cost us $270 each for 7 days in a nice balcony. Oh yeah, it will also cost us the $$ we will be playing in the Casino (lol).

I'm excited for the experience. I started a new thread asking for general information, but no takers yet. If anyone has been on a recent Ultra, could you please give me the heads up.

Thanks

I agree that for the most part, the casino offers this year have definitely been less lucrative than past years. This one in particular was definitely a steal. I don't really consider myself a big gambler. I've only taken one 8 day Premier cruise this year in February and I think I hit around 13,000 points on that one. I played slots exclusively off their $500 and just caught some lucky breaks.

I've heard that rumor that casino offers don't count towards days/loyalty points, but that has not been my experience. Of the 18 cruises I have taken, 17 have been either bounce back, Premier or Ultra offers. The only time I upgrade is when I'm not traveling solo. I am currently Platinum and every cruise has counted as you can see below.

So your sister didn't get an offer but she also gets $500 in casino cash or she did get the same offer under her VIFP number? I don't have any experience with these types of cruises. If a person stays in the same cabin as the someone with the offer do they get the same perks or is it only the guest it's designated to?

Did you take them before the new system went into effect?

Because others here on other threads have stated they didn't get credit towards the loyalty club when they got a free cruise, only paying port fees and taxes.

Doesn't affect us as we always upgrade, spend more money on balconies, but it's interesting to know.

Have a great cruise!

Yes, we both got the same offer. Thinking my daughter may decide to join us, I looked today to see how many cabins were still available. I saw that for just 60 dollars more (total) we could get a Lido balcony - made the call to upgrade quickly as there were only 3 left. Super excited!! I've never had a Lido balcony before though I enjoyed an interior a few times - just couldn't pass that up for that price! Kind of glad my daughter won't be able to join us since that cabin has a max occupancy of 2 (lol)
