Normally, we would go to Cafe 270 or the Park Cafe, however, on this cruise there are 7 of us, making it less likely that we’ll get a table unless we book a specialty restaurant.

What’s your preference? Would it be different if you were traveling with a smaller/larger party?

Café 270! You can always take the food out and go find some chairs together such as on the deck by the pool!

Park Cafe all the time if the ship in question has one. Really wish RCCL would have the MDR open on embarkation day like NCL does. Sorrentos and the Windjammer are a zoo with too many people trying to access them all at the same time.

Park Cafe, take your food and sit across the way and get a table outside of Vintages. 5 or 6 tables and always empty.

Cafe 270 on Anthem. Besides that, Cafe Promenade or Sorrento's. Windjammer on boarding day is always packed in my opinion.

Another vote for Park Cafe. On a rainy day, we took our food to go and went into Dazzles to eat. Not a soul in sight.

Park Cafe...good, light lunch without the crowd. I make it a mission to NOT eat in the Windjammer the entire cruise other than the last morning.

We did Giovanni’s on radiance last year. Don’t remember the cost, but they didn’t honor the BOGO. We’d planned to use the BOGO for lunch, since it was still day one.

I normally eat a huge breakfast at my pre-cruise hotel, so I skip embarkation day lunch. I look forward to a GREAT early dinner that night, however.

I switched to Celebrity (RCCL parent company) and like the Lunch at embarkation day in the MDR, you can get this perk booking a Concierge cabin and the turn around day on a B2B without the concierge status.
