warmwinds Posted April 18, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 18, 2018 There's a bunch of Major League Baseball games supposed to being played there right now - funny they were saying how lucky those teams were as opposed to the ones who are getting snowed/iced out up north. What a spring.
njaloha Posted April 18, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Looks like they're going to get some alternative power in there https://www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/news/early-lead/wp/2018/04/18/massive-puerto-rico-power-outage-wont-stop-indians-twins-mlb-game-in-san-juan/ Sent from my iPhone using Forums

njaloha Posted April 19, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted April 19, 2018 When we were there in February we saw busloads of electricians at the end of their shifts being dropped off at the Sheraton. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

njaloha Posted April 19, 2018 Author #10 Share Posted April 19, 2018 Hmmm...I was considering booking the Old Town Sheraton for pre-cruise in September...maybe I shouldn't  I think it'd be the best place. It's up its running. The workers would be gone all day; out early, in by dark and tired. Maybe some stories to tell. I like the central location and the proximity to the pier. Unbelievable that some people in the outlying areas are still without power and it's been 8 months. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Talex831 Posted April 19, 2018 #11 Share Posted April 19, 2018 Most of the power has been restored. The rest is to be back on by noon. Airport didn’t close, most hotels and many businesses were on generators. Not too much of a disruption from what I’ve read in the news. The Summit should (better—I’m on it)sail her repo just fine.
