For those interested, I took a morning walk, and decided to check out the deck 1 laundry, and they have installed the system where you can use quarters in the machine, 'or' turn around, and next to the soap machine is a place/machine you can slide your 'S&S card' to wash/dry your clothes.

I believe the self laundry is mid ship starboard on most, if not all decks.

And yes there was a line on deck 1 to use the iron! -))

Interesting. As long as I stood there I did not see another machine next to the soap dispenser.

Made it to the Matilda the Cow drawing.

And my name was called!

So then they hand you this big plastic dice that you roll, and you get to pick these spots on the cow, the higher the number you throw, the more picks!

So I rolled a 1!

And the 1 pick I had was the lowest amount of money=$50.!

But it's better then nothing!-))

Afterwards we played in the casino for awhile, then headed to a early dinner.

Tonight they had steak skewers as an app, so I ordered 2 for my app., then ordered 4 more with a side of green beans for my dinner.

The couple next to us tonight thought that was a great idea, so the husband had the same order!

We had a great conversation with them over dinner, decided we didn't want desert, and left to return to our cabin for a early night.

We want to be ready for a nice beach day at Mahogany Bay tomorrow!

Our first week on the Glory when we stopped at Mahogany Bay, we bought the Carnival excursion Maya Key with lunch.

We had a really good time, the pool was great, the beach was nice, the buffet food was good, but as others have stated about bug bites, my wife got 4 little bug bites, I got 3, and I never went near the beach. A young woman on on shuttle back to the port got bit maybe 20-30 times, so this time we decided to try this Blue Lagoon area at the port.

Gonna get some rest, happy cruising!

Congrats on at least getting your name called! How busy has the casino been?

I will only say this, the snorkeling at Coki beach was great. As you enter the beach, there are some rocks along the right side border, and there are just so many colorful fish there.

The guys who rent the chairs, etc. will give you little dog biscuits to break up and attract the fish, and they will be attracted, they'll eat right out of your hands.

The beach at Coki isn't a resort, it's a locals beach that ship people take over for a few hours each day.

Coral World Ocean Park next to Coki beach is open, we saw quite a few people over there in the water, and walking around. We didn't go in, so we don't know what they are offering.

All the beaches on St Thomas are nice in their own way, and we like to change it up each time we go, so as much as we enjoyed Coki beach, we'll head somewhere else next time.

Now you're making it sound much more worth the taxi fare. I know if I tell my son & wife what you said, they'll say let's go! A couple years ago, we first tried snorkeling at Half Moon Cay. Vast white sand bottom as far as we can see and only saw one, maybe two, fish. We decided to try again in Grand Turk and it was a night & day difference. Saw more fish, a crab or two, and a live conch in a short amount of time. We were on the south side of the pier, opposite where everyone else goes in front of Margarittaville, and there was hardly anyone around us. It had some large rocks to climb over before you get out into the deeper water, so you caught my eye when you mentioned rocks at Coki. They make good hiding places for marine life. Now we just might have to go. Thanks for the info. :)

Yeah, Coral World is open, but their website still says the Sea Trek isn't available yet, due to the hurricanes. That's what we had been wanting to do. Carnival is still offering it as an excursion, so I don't know what the deal is.

Honestly this has been the last busy 'Premier Cruise' casino this week we've seen in the last year!

Maybe that's why I'm still ahead, , but there is 3 days to go! ;p

Were they on the ship last week when they got married, cause I was in the elevator with a wedding group just boarding, told them congrats, then asked if I was invited, they laughed and said sure! :D

OK, back on the ship at around 2:30pm, it was a hot, sunny day in Mahogany Bay, even the booze cruises pulling back into the pier were all singing and cheering!

This is the good, bad, and neutral about Blue Lagoon,,,,

You can purchase your entry which includes the sky ride for $85. from the excursion desk the first or second day of your cruise.

You can purchase entry at Blue Lagoon for $85., but you either walk there, and can use the sky ride back for free, or you have to purchase the sky ride as extra($14. PP). So obviously the least expensive, least physical way to go is purchase the Blue Lagoon through the excursion desk.

You cannot pre purchase it through Carnival, and if you pay at the Lagoon, you pay in cash, not your S&S card like you would at the excursion desk!

You get bar, and food service inside Blue Lagoon without having to leave the area, but of course you pay cash. The prices/food is exactly the same menu that you can get at the 3 bar/restaurants at the beach.

The loungers we bought were cushioned, and there was ample space between us and our neighbors, far more then at the beach.

The swimming area is right underneath the skyride and out by the float/boundaries, it's about 7-8 feet deep.

But you only go out to about your waist, chest for a short person, and there is sea grass which makes some people anxious.

You also get free access to these giant blow up circular floats which are very popular, but they had quite a few, although we did see one escape the area headed for open water!!!

There were plenty of loungers under these shade trees, and there were some out in the sun if you wanted them.

We enjoyed this area, would book it again, as the regular beach was just packed with people today!

The service was very good, the area was clean, they gave you free Wi-Fi in this area, it's just the beach is small, the sand becomes grass as you go out to about 3-3 1/2 feet deep, but if this doesn't bother you, you might want to try this area out!

I forgot to ask.... How’s the new MDR port breakfast working out? The menu looks scrumptious! I love getting breakfast there better than fighting the crowd at the buffet.

My wife loved the avacodo on rye toast, with an order of poached eggs.

I returned to my protein diet for that meal, I ordered only 4 scambled eggs.

My wife actually enjoyed the port day breakfast in the MDR more then the Sea Day brunch, of course as a long time married couple, I thought the opposite;)!

This morning we wake up to another beautiful, sunny day.

The Glory is doing it's zig zag through the little islands off the coast of Belize, heading to our anchor location.

We both think that the Glory is the smoothest riding ship we've been on with Carnival, maybe because this week's weather, all week, the Gulf has looked like a sheet of flat glass!

Tonight's show in the Amber showroom is 'Amor Cubano' 8:15/10:15

Dine in movies are Murder on the Orient Express matinee at 12:00 pm

Star Wars: The Last Jedi 7:00 pm

After the movie there will be the deck 9/lido deck Rock-N-Glow party that will include the 'Thriller Dance' for you partying dancers!

Today after 2 beach days with a lot of walking and swimming, we're not sure what we'll do, maybe take a quick ride to port, my wife can shop, I'll sit at one of the bars and drink a beer! We don't want to 'interfere' with tomorrow, our full day at Nacho Cocom in Cozumel, their swim up pool bar, and swim up jacuzzi are calling me!!! As an older guy, I have my priorities, and must pace myself! -)) Belize=not so important, Nacho Cocom=a neccesity!-))

Want to say a quick 'sorry' for any grammar, etc. mistakes, I writing this on a small tablet, with this crazy auto spell that sometimes changes my typing that I have no idea how to turn off, plus my fat fingers, and I'm not exactly tech savvy!-))

Today's casino club drawings are snowball raffle at 4:00pm, dodge the bull at 4:30pm, and cash pong at 11:00pm.

Off to the MDR for 'port day' breakfast, good health to all, and happy cruising.

To those boarding next week, have a great cruise!

We end up taking a shuttle into Belize, my wife will shop a little at the port, I will find a shady bar seat and have a local beer.

After about an hour, we head back to the ship, grab a Guy's burger and head off to our cabin balcony.

I spend some time looking at the offerings for next week's southern cruise in Aruba, and Curacao, then I turn the internet over to my wife, and take a nap.

We decide to just go to the MDR for dinner tonight, we're both a little run down, it's been a warm 3 weeks, a lot of beach/pool swimming, and I really want to feel good for Cozumel tomorrow.

My wife has her 2 orders of beef with barley soup, she loves it, and an assorted sea food with pasta, and I have Lasagna with a side of green beans. Neither of us finish, but it was very good.

After dinner, we just head to the cabin to watch a little TV, my wife plays her online video game, and we go to bed early.

Waking up this am. I'll order our normal room service of coffee, juice, muffins, and a croissant with cream cheese for my wife.

We pack and leave the ship around 10:00 am, maybe 10:30, get a taxi to Nachi Cocom, and I should be at the swim up bar/jaccuzi at around 11:00-11:30 am! -))

Back on board is 4:30 pm, so we'll get a taxi back to the ship between 2-2:30pm

Tonight's show is 'Motor City's. 8:15/10:15 pm

Dine in movies are,

Justice League 6:30pm, Thor: Ragnarok 9:30pm, Blade Runner 2049 at midnight.

Tonight's casino drawings are 8:00 pm=snowball raffle, 10:00pm=hot seat promotion.

To all, until we come back to the ship, good health, and happy cruising.

Back from our day at Nacho Coconut, What a great, great day!

The weather was perfect, the resort had 'my estimate' of 120 people there, so it wasn't crowded, and it seemed everyone there was having a fun, happy time!

There were multiple good byes at the swim up pool bar to passengers from the Fantasy/Mobile, Glory/Miami, Paradise/Tampa, and RCL Freedom where it was a day of everyone reaching to make new friends, and enjoy each others stories, and company.

The food was great, the fellow guests were great, the drinks were really, really great-)), this was a proper way to finish our 3 week odysey on the Glory!

Well almost finish, , ,we do love our visits to Nacho Cocom, and we'll be back in 4 weeks! -))

We return to the ship, I'm just exhausted, 3 of the last 4 days I spent a lot of time swimming, that I obviously don't do at home, even though we live 7 miles from the Gulf beaches in the Tampa Bay Area.

So we clean up, and decide to just nap until a 'last minute before they close' buffet visit, later tonight!

Tonight the buffet is excellent, they have steak, and it's cooked perfectly, I can cut it easily with my buffet butter knife. There is also teriyaki salmon, BBQ chicken, carve roast ham, baked potatoes, rice, several hot and cold vegetable dishes, some deep fried something?, don't know what it was, but I tasted one, and it was good! -))

We then head back to our cabin, cause tomorrow's packing is going to take some thought, we don't want to bring 3 weeks worth of clothes with us on our 8 day southern Conquest cruise starting Sat. , my wife's good at that kind of organizing, I'll stay out of her way tomorrow while she gets it done.

Tomorrow is here, we order room service, then my wife goes back to sleep, so I decide to spend some time here writing, and eating breakfast while she sleeps some more.

Today I'll head to the premier slot tournament in the casino at 10:00 am, then we need guest services to print out our parking reservation in Ft Lauderdale, we always use park n go right next to the port and airport.

Then we'll go 'the last minute before they close' to the Sea Day brunch.

Then my wife will likely want to pack, I'll take a nap-)), then the Platinum/Diamond party is at 5pm.

We plan on a late dinner tonight, so the dining room will be less busy, and we can spend some extra time with our terrific MDR servers, Horracio, Svetlana, and Wayne! We've got some gifts, and of course some tips for them, 3 weeks they've made each day finish with a happy ending!!!

Dine in movies today,,,Ferdinand 6:00pm, Coco 8:00pm

The casino will hold it's weekly 100k slot tournament open to everyone beginning at 12:30 pm.

Sales around the ship,,, Invicta watch sale up to 70% off.

Art auction 12:30 pm, canvas wall art $59.95 9:00am, fine jewelry auction at 2:00 pm, last chance art sale at 7:00 pm, and the best for last,,,, 20% off select chocolates!!! -))

To all, good health, happy cruising, and if interested, we'll start the Conquest thread on Saturday for 8 days on the southern route!!

We'll also throw in a few comparrison/differences in our opinion between the Glory and Conquest.

We sailed the Conquest on a B2B in January, (a east-west cruise) so we're looking forward to the return visit going South!!!

We'll be on the Glory in 23 days and your review is getting me more excited. We want to purchase sky ride tickets. I've read we can get them on the ship or in port, do you know if this is true? Thanks!

That is true, but the line at the skyride is short to buy the ticket, but very long to get on the ride. I would estimate we waited in line to get on the skyride for about 25 minutes in the sun, HOT!! :eek:If you wait an hour, the line to get on the skyride shortens. But then, the front 1/2 rows of loungers at the beach are likely to be filled!

Every time we've been to Mahogany Bay with 2 ships, the beach is packed, I call it 'people soup'. With 1 ship, it's good. That's why we tried the Blue Lagoon area this time.

If Carnival continues to bring in 2 ships, they really need to tell Mahogany Bay to extend the beach!

Leaving the Glory this morning,,,,

We got our priority letter stating we can meet in the middle dining room at 7:45 am, and get escorted off the ship,,,,sounded good, but,,,,

We head down to dk. 3, and as we exit the elevator there is a line off the ship, and we're told to just get in line, cause the port was overflowing, backed up, and they closed anyone else getting off the ship!

After about 50 minutes standing there, they start the line moving again!

The problem it turns out is there are only 4 agents to check passports!!!!

I leave it at that! -(((

We get through the line, grab a taxi, arrive at the Marriott, and are pleasantly surprised to find our car with all its tires, the license plate is attached, it starts up, everything is great after 3 weeks sitting there! -))) You just never know!!!

We head off on what turns out to be about a easy 35 minute trip from the Marriott to Park N Go next to Port Everglades!

There's no line there, we board a shuttle, and within 5 minutes we're off to the Conquest.

Our story will continue on a new thread labeled '8 day Southern Conquest cruise begins after 21 days on the Glory'!

Good health, and Happy Cruising!

Yes, we booked all 3 cruises on the Glory under casino premier.

Same here, my wife loved the beach towels! So far we got large grey beach bags on day 3 or 4, much better then the blue ones they gave out last month. The gift waiting in the cabin was a memo pad with a pen, and the lanyard.

We suggest trying the Italian restaurant above the buffet. It's free at lunch, cost $15.pp at night with a much bigger menu, we really enjoyed it, went twice on one cruise in Dec..

There's an Italian Restaurant over the Buffet on the Glory?? We were on there just last year and NEVER knew of such a place! I went online to view the dining options for Glory and didn't even see an Italian restaurant listed there either. You are talking about the GLORY, right? I'm so excited and hope you are right!!!!!!

Nope...the Italian restaurant is ONLY on the Magic, Breeze, Sunshine, Vista, and Horizon. Not on the Glory.

Upstairs Lido on Glory is the Old fashioned BBQ.

Wow that sounds such an awesome dream vacation! I'm getting on the 28th when you're getting off and will be doing the Eastern. I have a few questions....Do you have anytime dining? If so, any server you recommend? Any plans of the steakhouse? Have you tried the seafood shack or sushi.? Sorry about the deli :-( they took away my favorite which was smoked salmon. What did you do at St. Thomas and San Juan? Any must do activities on the ship? How's Serenity and the adult pool? Thanks so much!

Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Forums mobile app

Where is the sushi place on the Glory? On Carnival's website, the Glory is not listed as having the sushi restaurant. Thanks.
