MA cruisers Posted May 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 1, 2018 A few years back when we were on Freedom they did an 80's disco party in the Promenade. It was hilarious. Do they still do it?

The Fun Researcher Posted May 2, 2018 #7 Share Posted May 2, 2018 Every RCCL cruise we've been on since 2012 has had a 70's Disco Inferno dance party (which is what I assume you're talking about). Our first was on the Freedom. Love the 70's show. Dan

Our first was on the Freedom. Love the 70's show. Dan Every Royal cruise I been on since 1988 has had 70's/Disco nite. Maybe they had 70's nite in the 70's? On older ship's it was held on the pool deck with lot of dancing, not inside...

The Fun Researcher Posted May 2, 2018 #12 Share Posted May 2, 2018 You might even say Hot Stuff. Oh yeah, Disco Inferno!!! :D The promenade on the Voyager thru Oasis class ships is such a great venue for the party. Love the dancing, the music, the crew acting like idiots, and the conga line that always seems to form... (y) Our group brought 70's disco outfits and wigs one year and had a blast. Lots of passengers taking pictures with us, etc.. (wasn't our intention, but was fun). I think they thought we were part of the crew. Dan
ARandomTraveler Posted May 2, 2018 #13 Share Posted May 2, 2018 80’s disco? I would love it if they actually played 80’s music, but I’ve only seen them do 70’s (which I think is the disco era, not 80’s, but I could be wrong). Disco music is dreadful, but it would be so much fun to have an 80’s music party instead. Like Journey, Prince, Michael Jackson, Madonna and all the great 1-Hit wonders, not the “disco” music that in my head I’ve always attributed to the 70’s. I tried to have fun at the last one but I hated the music so much I left. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
