lynn-in-nc Posted May 4, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2018 Hello, I’m planning a cruise for next year and a friend is coming who is in a lower budget class. The page for this cruise shows a cabin for $3100 https://www.azamaraclubcruises.com/voyage/1557028800/9-night-italy-greece-voyage but when I go to book so I can see what the prices are, that same cabin is $5756. Can anyone explain the difference? Thanks in advance!

Can anyone explain the difference? Thanks in advance! It looks like there is an embedded discount in the total, which is $5767 for TWO people for an 08 oceanview. At least that's my best guess.;) Pricing used to be so easy. No longer.

Grandma Cruising Posted May 5, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 5, 2018 The $3100 (now showing at £$3199 for ocean view) is a pp price, the stateroom price is for 2. If you change the number of guests to 1 the price comes out at $5577. The discrepancy is because cruise companies generally sell by the stateroom. They advertise a per person price, but that is based on 2 people sharing. Sometimes there are are discounts for singles, on this cruise it looks like slightly under $200. The discount shown between double the pp price and the stateroom price for 2 people is due to the Save & Spend promotion.
