Chef's Table Pricing Question

Does the Chef's Table price ever increase after you board the ship, or is the price the same rather you book pre-cruise or during cruise?

It’s $75 or $95 now depending on the ship. But the price could certainly change at any time. Carnival has not been hesitant to increase prices of services and items based on demand such as Faster to the Fun, Cheers, gratuities, etc. My understanding is that if you purchase something like Chef’s Table before your sailing and they later increase the price, you are protected at the lower price. If you wait to try to book it while onboard, you would be subject to the current pricing. This happened with the Chef’s Table on our last Vista cruise. We reserved Chef’s Table way in advance of our cruise at the $75 rate. Before we cruised Carnival announces that on the newer ships they were raising the price to $95. I emailed Carnival to see what price we would be charge and was told that since we reserved it when it was the lower price that would be honored. Chef’s Table doesn’t have to be paid for at the time you reserve it, so I’d book it now to make sure you get the best pricing possible.

I think it’s also worth noting that you don’t pre-purchase the Chefs table. You make a reservation ahead of time but you pay for it on board.

Carnival has so far honored the price at the time of making the reservation, even if the price was increased prior to sailing.

 

But Michah's Granddad has pinpointed the real issue. Limited space.
