We rested and got cleaned up for dinner at Haven. Tried again to get my bangs to stay straight. Ha ha

 

Wonderful drinks courtesy of Amir; I call this one Amir’s magic potion as it doesn’t have a name. Base liquor is Bullet bourbon. See the cute hearts?!

I had the duck. It was absolutely amazing. I don’t remember the last time I had duck; it was greasy when I had it before. This was something all together different and yummy. So glad I ordered this. The wild rice complimented it perfectly.

I forgot to mention that this day was extremely hot an muggy. Costa Rica is beautiful. The country enjoys huge biotraversity. Most of the people live at higher altitudes closer to the capital of San Juan to help eliminate some of the oppressive heat and humidity.

The only thing that we had planned today was the pub crawl/poker run with our cruise critic/fb group;hosted by Ed and Janet.

So we slept in. Had breakfast in the Haven, worked out. Etc.

We decided it was ok to eat carbs since we were going to be drinking.

So I’m not going to all of the poker hand rules but it was fun! We visited 5 bars. Skyline bar in casino, observation lounge, atrium bar, sugarcane bar and district brew house is where we finished our game.

Dinner at Cagney’s al fresco steak house featured the sunset. We debated whether to sit inside or out as it was still a little warm, but I’m so glad we sat outside as we kept popping up to get pics of the sunset!

Went to Cavern to listen to siglo! Great classic rock! At end they played lynard skynard freebird. Mike embarrassed himself dancing. Ha ha!

The band was awesome:

 

 

We won big time in casino too. We played here a long time before we hit the Royal Flush!
