Couple questions on sail aways in Alaska

Hello,

I'm re-posting from the HAL for dummies thread to get a more specific answer on this:

 

--where are good areas for sail away (day 1 and Alaska ports of call)? I guess there's no view from the Neptune Lounge so not going there.

 

We'll be in the Noordam the week of June 24th after a land tour. Travelers are me, husband, and 8yo son.

 

 

Any other good sail-away trips for new cruisers?

First choice is the bow, if open. Second choice is any open deck. No secrets to that.

Late at night in Alaska sailing out of Juneau enjoy the views from the Crow’s Nest or the Lido.

Thanks, and we're prepared with rain gear so that won't stop us from being out on decks to see the views!

Glad to hear the Crow's Nest will have nice views. And I hear we're lucky that the Noordam has the "original" layout for the Crow's Nest and Explorations Cafe, etc.

I made a tradition of hot tub sail aways. Found it quieter (and better views) AFT, outside teen center. Good in any weather!
