WE have been on nine cruise so far and never have we heard any announcement about mislayed bags.

Please tell me they distribute the bags PRIOR to leaving port. We are leaving out of San Juan in March 2019 and the ship does not leave port until 8:00p. I would hate to think we would not receive our bags until after that.

 

Sometimes they get them out before sailing sometimes not. With an 8:00 p.m. sailing most bags will be distributed prior to sailing, unless you push the arrival window and don't board until 7:00.

You can get REAL tags from the porters when you check your bags....just to be sure they get to you!

The that's the issue.

 

Only union workers can issue luggage tags at the Bell Street Terminal. And there are insufficient union workers for the small ships, let alone the 4000 passenger Bliss. Local agents can't provide surge support with any luggage handling. NCL has gone out of their way to say "DON'T expect any kind of timely service from the porters if you show up without your bags pre-tagged". You'll be lined up the hill to pike street market waiting, if you don't print/bring your own luggage tags and wait for REAL tags from the porters.

You need a larger sample size. We get notices of missing bags on many cruises.
