Luggage space (Getaway)

We are first time cruiser and going on Getaway in July. The cruise is ending a 3 week holiday, so the amount of luggage is fair-sized. We have booked a family balcony, but after viewing the stateroom pictures, we have some problems seeing where to place the luggage.

Some write under the bed, but will that take normal sized suitcases? Any other good places to pile luggage?

If you have any smaller carry-on sized luggage, you might be able to stash it on the floor of the closet, but otherwise under the bed is your best option.

There is, as others noted, plenty of storage space under the main beds - here's our old 22" Travelpro rollerboard, almost got lost in there ... lots of heights, over 16" + of clearance to slide it under.

The hanging closet will fit two 25" rollerboards or spinners flat on its side easily. Just in case that you don't feel it's enough, you can store the jumbo's in the shower stall area of the bathroom, when not in use.

Just a friendly reminder that if you are flying, airlines generally have a 50 lbs. limit on luggage without a penalty for being overweight or heavy, which is easily exceeded with a well packed 25" hardshell suitcase or expandable ... unless you are flying J or F class and get extra allowance, usually international flights only.

I have no idea what your 3 week holiday plan is, but perhaps consider doing laundry during the trip so you don't have to pack 3 weeks of clothing, etc. On day 3 or so you'll have the opportunity to have some laundry done by NCL at a special price. However, it seems you'll want to do some prior to the cruise as well.
