recent Brilliance TA questions please

So, did you overnight in Cobh? Did you make port in Zeebruges? I believe you missed the Azores and Waterford. Is that correct? Doing this next year but a month later in the spring. Hope we have better luck for our first, and probably only, TA.

I was on the recent Brilliance transatlantic. We made it to the Azores and we had an overnight in Cobh. We did not make it to Waterford or Dublin. The other port you mentioned as not on our itinerary.

 

It was our first transatlantic and definitely will not be our last. We experienced two days/nights of rough seas, however, the captain did a fantastic job of keeping us out of even rougher seas. Also, there was constant communication so we knew the rough seas were coming.

 

I don’t consider our change in itinerary bad luck. We absolutely loved the overnight, as we had an opportunity to experience Ireland pub night life. Enjoy your cruise next year

Thanks for your information. So you did get to make the Azores stop. What did you do there?

We did a private tour ( 8 of us in a van). One of the CC members coordinated several tours for that day. We had a specific tour booked but we encountered some fog. Because we were on a private tour, the driver was able to deviate and add a few places. Basically we went to some crater lakes, tea plantation, hot springs, stopped at other magnificent sights, had a local lunch. The area was beautiful. The Hydrangeas were not on bloom ( they are everywhere) but should be when you are there.

 

It was a beautiful place.
