Travelcat2 Posted May 20, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 20, 2018 Yes - they are on all Regent ships. If you want to know if anyone is interested in playing, check out your Roll Call and ask.

cwn Posted May 22, 2018 #7 Share Posted May 22, 2018 Are there Mah Jongg games on Navigator? There is a section of the Compass Rose, back starboard side that is set aside for board type games everyday all day. Just show up and see what is happening. Nothing is formally organized though. You have to do that your self. We have been on the Navigator since Jan 8 (WC-6 segments) get off Fri. On segment 5 Cape Town to Rio, a lady went around trying to drum up takers for Mah Jongg and she did find enough that would play most days. There are no formal lessons like for bridge though. Asking on the Roll Call is a good idea and going to the first session in CR to see who is interested in what. Plus just ask table mates etc.

cwn Posted May 24, 2018 #9 Share Posted May 24, 2018 Cwn - do you have a blog of this cruise or a review? I can’t imagine being on such a long cruise and would love to hear your thoughts. Yes we have kept a daily blog. It is open to the public on blogspot. com. I am two days behind since we are trying to pack, but may get caught up tonight. http://www.2018worldcruise.blogspot.com The most recent post is first, you can read backwards or there is an archives, if you want to read parts. JPR Posted May 25, 2018 #10 Share Posted May 25, 2018 Navigator is our least favorite Regent ship to begin with, but ineffective A/C while cruising in Central America would be the final straw. Did it ever work properly? That is a total deal breaker.
Kwaj girl Posted May 26, 2018 #11 Share Posted May 26, 2018 Navigator is our least favorite Regent ship to begin with, but ineffective A/C while cruising in Central America would be the final straw. Did it ever work properly? That is a total deal breaker. Not to hijack the thread but... We just disembarked from the WC today. Suite A/C problems could be regional as we were in 910, kept our room at lowest setting which kept us comfortable at 65F (according to our travel thermometer) except for some days when we had afternoon sun on our side. Closing the curtains helped on those days. 2 years ago we were in 713 on a Capetown to Miami trip-they could not get the A/C to a comfortable level so ended up moving us. As cwn has noted, there were a few passengers complaining intermittently about how "cold" the ship was in the public areas so when they tried to appease those few the rest of us - including the hard-working crew - suffered in hot restaurants. Thankfully that was only short-lived.
