Best time of year for British Isles ?

With Global Warming, spring or fall. Also fewer tourists then.

This year is exceptionally hot, we've had hardly any rain and in the North West a hose pipe ban has been introduced.

May is generally the best month, we've had to cancel our last 3 family BBQs in August due to torrential rain.

We just did Royal Princess - British Isles - 18 June-30 June and also did car touring for a month in England. Great weather 20C to 30C. When we left England last week it was 27C in Cambridge. Calm seas and winds.

I'm wanting to cruise the British Isles in 2020. Any recommendations for the best time of year weather-wise?

We went in May and it was EXCELLENT!!! Jacket necessary but it’s not a hang out at the pool cruise. To much to see in port and scotch tours!
