scoob Posted May 24, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 24, 2018 We are on the Adventure of the seas and I was wondering if shore excursions can be booked when you get off the ship at the ports.

We are sailing 6/1 and we didn’t have room on either Oli’s Trolley or the Acadia Park bus for our group over a month before. We were lucky to find a private tour. You can go on their website and prebook.
Cru-Zin Posted May 25, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 25, 2018 Portland, ME has a fun duck tour that you can book on your own. There are also things to do within walking distance of the port.

Yes, that's true, but the OP was asking about the possibility to book, not availability. In our case, we considered this cruise as a "weather-related" cruise, and took our chances not booking anything beforehand. Suppose it will be raining buckets in Bar Harbour, what's the point of paying 40$??? No refunds if it rains. That's us. As it turned out, the weather was perfect, and we had to compromise with a later hour tour than we preferred, but I believe that there are always possibilities to find something. We just had lunch before the tour, instead of after.
