Hi. What are your thoughts on a family cruise on the Celebrity Summit in July 2018 out of NYC? We have two teenage kids and I'm concerned that there won't be much for them to do. Has your family traveled on Celebrity during the summer? TIA

We took the trip to Bermuda on Summit summer 2015 and there were loads of families with children of all ages. Maybe not as much as RCI or the Norwegian Ship that sailed at the same time, but the still a couple dozen at each age grouping. Our experience with teenagers is they tend to move in packs and "hang out". They use the Kids Club as a meeting point, but do not really want the structured activities.

We are back to Celebrity in July and have no doubt our girls will have a blast. More importantly, we know that the parents will too.

Quite frankly I would leave the kids at home if the made any complaint about getting to go on any vacation.

Agree with above, we have done our kids to Bermuda several times on Celebrity in the summer months, lots of families and they will have loads of things to do.

Only for the last 5 years and at Christmas too :D. Have to say though, we’ve never sailed Summit - the only ship we haven’t cruised on in the current X fleet; not because there’s anything wrong with her, it’s more to do with the itineraries on offer ;). Our kids love M class ships, they’d be devastated if we told them we’d be going on a cruise without them .
