Cruising KPs Posted May 27, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 27, 2018 Later this year (late October) DW and I will be on a cruise that stops in Port Canaveral for a day. We are very interested in the RCI excursion for the space center tour. But I've read on here that on days of launches, it can be a zoo and that you're better off staying on the ship and watching the launch from there. At this time it's too early to know if there is a launch scheduled on the day we'll be there (at least there isn't anything on the launch web site). If I book the excursion now and find out later that there is a launch scheduled, can I cancel the excursion and get a refund?
Foodluvr Posted May 27, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 27, 2018 Yes, just cancel within 48 hours of your excursion if booking through RC. Although Kennedy is fun regardless of launch schedules. Plenty to see and do!

Rare mk-ultra Posted May 27, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 27, 2018 Never a problem cancelling excursions and receiving a refund. My last cruise, I had to cancel two SCUBA dives due to an ear infection. One cancellation was on the morning of a dive, and the other was for a dive scheduled 2 days later. I paid a small fee for the same-day one, and no charge at all for the one two days out. I expected to be charged the full amount for the same-day one, given that the dive company would have had to load a couple of tanks and a BC onto their boat for me. A partial refund on that was a nice surprise and I think was fair.
dadofjessie Posted May 27, 2018 #5 Share Posted May 27, 2018 Yes you can. Did that myself on our western Caribbean cruise in February. We had booked a tour in Jamaica but changed our minds. No problem as long as its greater than 48 hours before the cruise.
Ourusualbeach Posted May 27, 2018 #6 Share Posted May 27, 2018 Coming soon...non refundable shore excursions.
Interstate Posted May 28, 2018 #7 Share Posted May 28, 2018 Caveat: Royal Caribbean Tours involving flights, hotels, or custom packages must be cancelled 30 days or more before embarkation to recieve a refund. Otherwise, all tours can be cancelled 48hrs or more before the scheduled port day for a refund
bluecruisin Posted May 28, 2018 #8 Share Posted May 28, 2018 I have a shore excursion booked near the end of a upcoming cruise. I would like to wait and cancel the day we board and hope I can get OBC as a refund. Is this possible Thanks!
