Kaipeda, Fredericia, Arhaus tour advice and suggestion?

Recommended Posts

I have been able to gather lots of information on the other stops on our upcoming Baltic cruise but very little information on Kaipeda, Fredericia and Arhaus. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Mainly interested in history and local culture with local food a secondary (or is tertiary) interest.

In Fredericia you have a few options.

Jelling with the rune stones

Legoland

Bridgewalk on the old Lillebæltsbridge

Odense with HC Andersens birthplace and museum

Egeskov Palace.

Kolinghus Castle

I´m guessing the last one is Aarhus, if that is the case you have these things to look forward to.

Aros art museum

Moesgård museum

Den Gamle By (the old village)

Central Aarhus with latinerkvarteret

And probably lots of other stuff I don´t know about. :p

For Aarhus I’ll like to add a number of the city’s other attractions.

The main attraction in Aarhus is Den Gamle By - The Old Town Museum*, a National Open Air Museum of Urban History and Culture.

Also well worth a visit, Women’s Museum, the Steno Museum, the Viking Museum, Town Hall and Concert Hall Aarhus. The Latin Quarter and the Botanical Gardens

Ah, butchered another one did I? Would be strange if I didn't as I'm at least as bad spelling familiar place names and English. Thank you once again Danish Viking for the information.

My general advice for Klaipeda is to go to the Curonian Spit. Beautiful and unique sand dunes and little towns. In downtown Klaipeda you can see some of the old German architecture (I suppose elsewhere as well). If you DIY you could also play it by ear a bit and see what the weather is like. If it is hot and you like beaches you could mix in a bit of beach time or swimming. The beaches are really amazing the water not so much.
