apc0204 Posted June 4, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 4, 2018 Taking my 5 year old on the Serenade October 7th. Have read they often open the Solarium to families in the event of inclement weather or certain times in the evening. Is this true? Thanks for your help. Have read they often open the Solarium to families in the event of inclement weather or certain times in the evening. Is this true? Thanks for your help. I don't know about in the evening, but they do give children a few hours of Solarium use if they cannot use the outside pools.

Grandma Dazzles Posted June 4, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 4, 2018 I think it depends where you are cruising to. If it were cold I could see that happening, but have not seen in the Caribbean. Have sailed the Serenade twice to the Southern Carinbbean and had rain, but it was warm, Caribbean rain. Solarium was packed and roof closed, but I don't remember them opening it up for families. There were still lots of people in the outdoor pool.
cb at sea Posted June 5, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 5, 2018 It's only open to kids IF it's cold and the regular pools are unusable....and only for a short time. If you're in the Caribbean and it's raining....oh well, you're wet in the pool, too!
