kac000 Posted June 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 5, 2018 I'm going on the Allure in October for my honeymoon and this will be our first time cruising Royal. My future hubby is a big guy...and I'm worried about the size of the shower. They look super tiny. Anyone have any idea on the measurements? Or scale of reference? Any help is much appreciated. Clarea Posted June 5, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 5, 2018 You may want to consider a Junior Suite, with the shower as part of the bathtub. Lots of space there.
molsonschooner Posted June 5, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 5, 2018 I think I read sometime back where people showered in the gym showers. Much more room for a big person.

Lots of space there.Unfortunately, we don't have the budget for that or we would. Sent from my SM-G955U using Forums mobile app

MaryEBS Posted June 5, 2018 #7 Share Posted June 5, 2018 He should be fine. My husband was a large man and had no issues with the shower.
cb at sea Posted June 5, 2018 #8 Share Posted June 5, 2018 They aren't huge, but large enough for even bigger folks! I think larger women would have a harder time, bending to shave legs and all!
kac000 Posted June 5, 2018 Author #9 Share Posted June 5, 2018 I appreciate everyone's help. Fingers crossed I'm worried about nothing but if not I've got an alternative plan! Sent from my SM-G955U using Forums mobile app
DiscoingGD Posted June 5, 2018 #10 Share Posted June 5, 2018 I was 250 lbs. when I was on the Oasis (Should be same size shower as Allure) and I didn't feel constrained in the shower. Good to know I can shower in the locker room if I want though.
rukkian Posted June 5, 2018 #11 Share Posted June 5, 2018 Depends on size, but I had no issues, and and decent sized myself.
Milwaukee Eight Posted June 5, 2018 #12 Share Posted June 5, 2018 You may want to consider a Junior Suite, with the shower as part of the bathtub. Lots of space there. The ceiling is low in the tub/showers because of the step up. I fit without hitting my head. We meet a gentleman who was a little over 6’ and had to shower in the Spa. kathimac123 Posted June 5, 2018 #13 Share Posted June 5, 2018 I was traveling with my 6'2" 325 lb. son on the Oasis, and he had no problem at all with the shower in our room. Don't worry about it, and enjoy your honeymoon.
LSUfan4444 Posted June 9, 2018 #14 Share Posted June 9, 2018 The shower itself isnt going to nearly be an issue for a larger person as the size of the bathroom is when you get out and try to dry off.
