mickyd41 Posted June 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 5, 2018 anybody thinking of taking a trip to cinque terre from viking star on 6/11/18. I notice on on some tours whether you are 2 people or eight people on Viator it s the same price. Is that correct? If so I have 4 interested
Heidi13 Posted June 5, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 5, 2018 May I suggest checking the Viking Ocean Roll Calls for the Star, to find if someone has started a roll call for your cruise. This will give you contact with fellow pax on your cruise. If no roll call, starting one is easy.
Jim Avery Posted June 5, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 5, 2018 Does the Viator tour use a boat or a van? On another line we had a small group Cinque Terre tour from a small boat. Fantastic! Whichever way you go a small group will make it better. A truly unique area.

Very quaint and scenic. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Sent from my iPad using Forums Right you are. That's why I was asking as some (maybe the best) areas are boat access only. Some ships do take "Cinque Terre" tours by bus which would be a big turn off for us.
CILCIANRQTS Posted June 6, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 6, 2018 Believe we took a tender to La Spezia and then smaller boats from there up the coast. There’s also a train, but not sure the walking would be suitable for a tour group. Sent from my iPad using Forums
bxny Posted June 6, 2018 #7 Share Posted June 6, 2018 If the water is rough, the boats do not run. We took a train to Riomagiore and then walked the Via dell Amore to Manarola. I believe there is another path higher up.
