Currency onboard Grand Voyage Venice to Durban

I can't find a definitive answer by googling but am assuming that since the cruise is not completely within Europe the onboard currency will be in $. Can someone please confirm whether this is the case.

Thanks

The currency onboard will be Euros - we were on Sinfonia from Venice to Durban, so am speaking from experience.

Most repositioning cruises starting out from Europe have Euro as the currency onboard. (I say "most" because there can be exceptions. For example, the currency on Divina was US$ the last time she sailed from Europe to the US - the reason being that she was going to homeport in Miami for a couple of years, unlike most repos, when the ships are only spending the Winter season away from the Med).
