sammybonny Posted June 24, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2018 We will be sailing on Royal Princess next month on a British Isles cruise and have priority boarding as we have platinum status. The eticket has a 3.15pm boarding time for our deck which is Riviera deck, can we ignore this and arrive earlier because we have priority boarding? We are staying in a hotel the previous night and will need to leave the hotel by 12pm so dont really want to be hanging around until 3.15pm Sent from my SM-T580 using Forums mobile app
crows nest club Posted June 24, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2018 Yes. No problem. We usually arrive by 11 a m even though we have later boarding time. Sent from my SM-A520F using Forums mobile app
hooked-cruiser Posted June 24, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 24, 2018 In May we arrived at 11-30am and were in the priority line. We were on-board by 1200 Hrs. Your boarding ticket should say Priority when you print it and if so you can book in as soon as they start the process.
sunsetbeachgal Posted June 24, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 24, 2018 We were the first group to board (Elite and Suites) on the June 6 sailing and we boarded around 11:30-11:45. Very efficient luggage drop off and check in process, and comfortable waiting area with plenty of seating. Everyone in our group went to their cabins to drop off their hand carry bags, then we met at Alfredo’s for lunch! sammybonny Posted June 24, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted June 24, 2018 Thanks for the replies. We have sailed on Royal Princess before so will know our way around but it will be nice to get on board early and have the opportunity to have a quietish lunch before the masses arrive. newport dave Posted June 24, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 24, 2018 The boarding time is just advisory, so everyone doesn't turn up at the same time.

The 3:15pm is really just a suggestion in the hopes that arrivals for check-in will be spread out. With or without priority you can check-in around 11 AM. If boarding has not yet started after you check-in, you will have priority to board after suites and elites and before those waiting who do not have priority.
