Did Carnival get ride of the Taste Bar

I read a review for the Conquest and they said that the Taste Bar was not open. Did Carnival do away with this?

It's supposed to be a taste bar, where you sample only 1 or 2 mini plates. Not a meal

On the Miracle and Inspiration it changed to a Sushi Bar. It’s decent, like what we get in a supermarket. Price is a little lower than what we pay on land.

Don’t remember seeing it on the Splendor.

That has been our experience - changed to Bonsai to go.

We sailed on the Conquest in April and there was no Taste Bar available all week.

Sailed the Dream 2 weeks ago -- no Taste Bar. Just an empty, unoccupied space in Ocean Plaza between the coffee bar and Alchemy.

I guess it is an additional expense to operate a Taste bar. So they stopped it to cut costs.

On both Sunshine and Magic we really enjoyed grabbing a cocktail from Alchemy, a little something from Taste Bar and enjoying some pre-dinner music in Ocean Plaza.

I agree. Cruise lines are cutting costs on many different things, while increasing the cruise fares

The Taste Bar items were not of the quality of the actual restaurant products, glad they closed.

It is easy enough to grab something from the buffet before heading to Alchemy. And...Alchemy serves its own tidbits @ 5...guess you haven't discovered that yet! ;p
