Four Points Sheraton Coral Gables

My wife and I are cruising out of Miami in February and are looking for a pre-cruise hotel stay. We are thinking of the Four Points Sheraton Coral Gables, any opinions on this hotel or a better suggestion? Thanks

More than a bit off the tourist path, in the midst of auto dealers and body shops on Bird Avenue. Their website claims "1.1 miles from Miracle Mile" and "steps from 120 eateries" but the former is well underestimated and if the latter is referring to Coconut Grove the neighborhood between the hotel and the Grove's main drags is not one to go walking in.

 

As for other recommendations, do you have a target price in mind? I am guessing you looked at properties closer to the port but found the prices further out more in your budget. Rates do go through the roof for President's Day weekend, and a good week before or after, with so much going on in the area (Miami International Boat Show, Coconut Grove Arts Festival, South Beach Wine and Food Festival). So date(s) and budget would be nice to know.

Yes, we are trying to stay in the$200.00 night range. Will only be there from maybe 6-8pm and then leave for the ship in the AM.
