Rccl cruiser thinking about msc yacht club on seaside?

Recommended Posts

I waited for my Black card match also. However, you don't have to. They will adjust the price after your match.

I'm only mentioning this because the Yacht Club sells out very quickly. (That's why we're going next week ….I never cruise in July, but I didn't want to wait till next year for a Yacht Club balcony.)

We were in Yacht Club on Divina...loved it, and I hear Seaside is even better.

Not in a big rush have my first owners suite on our first oasis cruise in November , then a sky suite on celebrity on a charter music cruise with Boz Scaggs and other in March next year, so most likely will book November 2019, celebrity suite perks were great , suite lounge with high end drinks from morning to midnight and all there ships have suite restaurant, had done six rccl grand suites before trying celeberty a few months ago,

Have not really investigated the drink packages as with our reservation all fully included.

In all our years of cruising we have never purchased an adults drinks package;)

And the wife sure likes to drink

As far as I am aware, everywhere

Plus a stocked mini bar in the room

Happy Days!

I believe that alcoholic beverages ordered thru room service are also included. I wonder if those would come from the YC bar?

We sailed MSC Divina last year in the Yacht Club, and this year sailed the Seaside in the Yacht Club. We enjoyed the amenities of the Yacht Club (private lounge, private restaurant, private pool and sundeck) better than the Haven on NCL Escape. At the present time, the Yacht Club is a great value for the price, it was $2,000 less than a comparable Haven Courtyard balcony cabin on NCL Escape. Free drinks are included and that is free drinks throughout the whole ship, not just the Yacht Club.

Can you tell me which ship you liked best and why?

Wish rccl had private pool or suite restaurant on all ships not just a few. Celeberty suite perks were really nice.

Agree! Loved our Sky Suites with all those perks on Celebrity. Really enjoyed Luminae and also Coastal Kitchen on RC. Looking forward to YC in January. The Deluxe suite we have booked looks similar to a Sky Suite, maybe a little smaller, minus the tub but the shower looks nice? With our Black status match we're paying $1984pp for a 7-day. That also includes their Deluxe drink package for drinks outside of the YC lounge, although we will have to pay for internet and grats, which we never did on X.

Sky suites are really different depending on ship on Summit they were small less than 260 sq ft with small balcony I know they are bigger on other newer ships .

True! Our first sky suite was on Constellation. We had one of the unique aft cabins with the big bathroom. My other sky suite was on Reflection, which is what I’m comparing our upcoming Deluxe suite on Seaside to.

I would say the Seaside, because it is newer and the restaurant is right above the lounge. On the Divina, the restaurant (Le Muse) is not in the Yacht Club, it is at the aft of the ship. But it was very cool to have our Divina butler walk us to the restaurant the first few days! I have also heard that on Divina, it is one butler per 7 rooms, while on the Seaside, it was 1 butler per 20+ rooms. We rarely used the butler on the Seaside, we are pretty low-key cruisers.

MSC Yacht Club has been the best kept secret at sea for quite a few years now.

Unfortunately, the secret is out so it is hard to find them available.

We cruised many times in a YC2 on the Divina. ENORMOUS cabin with totally separate bedroom.

Sadly for us, the Divina now spends most of its time in Europe. On the Seaside, those cabins have been categorized differently and are not part of the Yacht Club.

We sailed the Seaside in a YC1 last February. I am NOT a fan of the size of the cabin....but the amenities...

People have said your mini bar is included. I don't know if they mentioned it is restocked daily with your requested sodas alcohol ,etc but also has things like Pringles, chocolate peanuts & salted nuts.

There is a buffet next to their private pool. When we there, they had lobster tails every other day there as well as fresh grilled steaks.

There is a Vendi Chocolate shop. Very large also serves specialty coffees & gelatos in the main part of the ship.

If you have a yacht club key, all gelatos are free...and amazing. I had them every day.

In the Yacht club lounge, they always have a few snacks but in the evening....added Vendi choclates !

I almost forgot one of the best features is when you arrive at the port...you do not go in. There is a tent out front you go to.

A butler takes your luggage and escorts you to a room where you have champagne & cookies until your cabin is ready, then you are escorted to it.

I know I have forgotten many things but once you have done Yacht Club, you cannot go back. The only thing I have heard it compared to is Norwegian's Haven but Yacht Club is about 1/3 the price.
