Lazirus65 Posted July 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2018 Looking for suggestions of where good outdoor New Years Eve celebrations are held apart from the theme parks. We will be staying on International Drive for a few days before our cruise. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
hrhdhd Posted July 1, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 1, 2018 This article lists events for last year; I assume the last two on the list will occur again this year. https://www.visitorlando.com/blog/index.cfm/2017/12/19/6-Unforgettable-Places-to-Celebrate-New-Years-Eve-in-Orlando

Lazirus65 Posted July 2, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted July 2, 2018 Are you looking for family friendly? Chill and relaxed? Drunken partying? Are you willing to drive? Driving is not a problem, family friendly or chilled and relaxed would be my preferred options.
KnightsFan Posted July 2, 2018 #5 Share Posted July 2, 2018 Outside of the theme parks you might not find a lot. Central Florida is a relatively young city, so most NYE stuff is focused on drinking. Here's a guide from last New Year's Eve listing all of the events around town, assume a lot will happen again this year (it was updated in Dec. 2017). js Posted July 4, 2018 #7 Share Posted July 4, 2018 Although we were at Disney between Christmas and New Years day, we spent NYE at Disney Springs at the Boathouse. I would book a restaurant at Disney Springs and either plan on staying till midnight or walk around and celebrate. It was a great night. Please be aware that there are no firework shows at Disney Springs. I've gone to the fireworks show at EPCOT for the past 6 years. But theme park admission is required.
