tracymtx Posted July 8, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2018 Wondering if your carry-on luggage needs to be the size of a carry-on you would take on an airplane? Can I bring a regular sized suitcase with wheels? We have FTTF so thinking we would just carry our one large suitcase rather than each pack a carry-on. Thank you! dmdiver Posted July 8, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2018 No, it can be larger than airline size. When laying flat on the belt - 16 inches thick by 24 inches side to side. Length doesn't matter. Our suitcases are medium hard shell and they fit just fine.
siestakeys04 Posted July 8, 2018 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2018 It has to fit through the scanner.
HerbertandB Posted July 8, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 8, 2018 We carried on our 26" spinners with no problem. You just need to be able to lift it on and off the conveyor belt.
riffatsea Posted July 8, 2018 #5 Share Posted July 8, 2018 You just need to be able to handle the luggage yourself. Sometimes 2 smaller cases are easier to manage than one large one. Either way is fine.
Hoosierpop Posted July 8, 2018 #6 Share Posted July 8, 2018 Also, someone may tell you when you first arrive at the port that you must check on a full sized suitcase. I just politely say thanks and then head to the check in line. I’ve never had an issue getting my 28 inch suitcase through the scanner. That’s at Port Canaveral, Ft Lauderdale, and Miami.
