coco cay shade

Is there any shaded areas on coco cay and what is the best area to swim in. Are there rocks on the beach and can you rent lounge chairs & umbrellas ?

Lounge chairs are free. There are some trees arround that will provide shade, but get there early. They also have umbrellas to rent.

Depends on what they have blocked off for construction but yes generally you can find some shaded areas. The beaches are sandy. Lounge chairs are no charge.

As mentioned, umbrellas are there to rent. However...if its a bit too windy they don't rent them (they also canceled parasailing excursions). That happened with us a couple weeks ago...luckily there was occasional cloud cover, so it wasn't too intense.

We were there week before last and were on the island at 9:15. We easily found chairs in the shade right by one of the bars and food areas. By 10:30 most were taken in the shade but there were plenty available in the sun. Umbrellas were for rent at a reasonable rate.
