gimletgal Posted July 24, 2018 #276 Share Posted July 24, 2018 Lovetocruise2002 - Could you tell me if they have finally put some butter near the breakfast rolls? (In the Top Sail Lounge) I always had to have Judith go up to the restaurant to get some butter patties. Just found it strange that there was no butter to add to the rolls, which, of course, were delicious! Thanks. (I know they have butter up at the One Pool Grill.) Zephyr173 Posted July 24, 2018 #277 Share Posted July 24, 2018 My "go to" process has always been: double the Celsius, subtract 10%, and add 32. Always comes out within 1° of Fahrenheit. :) Yep. Close enough and easier to do mentally than the actual, which is 9/5 x Celsius + 32. The reverse is (F-32) x 5/9, to get Celsius.
SirWolf Posted July 24, 2018 #278 Share Posted July 24, 2018 … off topic … The "best" solution would be to adopt to Celsius (metric system) since the Unites States, Bahamas, Belize, Cayman Island and the Republic of Palau are the only countries in the world using Fahrenheit :o So, we are the minority  PS: To be fair, Celsius is used in the medical field and other scientific areas in the US. … back to thread ... LadyVol1 Posted July 24, 2018 #279 Share Posted July 24, 2018 Great blog! My 90-year old mom wants to know if there are movies available in the Yacht Club cabins, either via DVD, pay-per-view or free?

nacdcruiser Posted July 24, 2018 #281 Share Posted July 24, 2018 I get that the alcohol and beer is included everywhere including the yacht club but what do the stars next to some of the beers mean ? As I recall, Classic package gets the basic offerings, single star items are included only with the Deluxe drinks package, two stars (ultra premium) not included in any package. frank808 Posted July 24, 2018 #282 Share Posted July 24, 2018 (edited) There are no dvd players in cabin. But pay per view is available at $7.99 a movie. Great blog! Rare Beamafar Posted July 24, 2018 #284 Share Posted July 24, 2018 that's to bad i know NCL and Celebrity offer the movies for free. No ... it's built into the fare - unlike MSC, where they let you choose whether you want to pay for the service or not.

Lovetocruise2002 Posted July 24, 2018 Author #286 Share Posted July 24, 2018 Back from St. Maarten. Thank you to all those who answered questions while we were off. Upon leaving the ship, you let the concierge know that you are ready to get off and he/she calls a butler to come escort you. It was a nice treat to bypass the lines and walk right off to the island. Our day on the island was quite uneventful. We took the water taxi over and took a walk down Front Street. Once there, we ended up at "That Yoda Guy". Nick Maley (that Yoda guy) has a unique selection of Star Wars memorabilia and relics. Hubby is a huge Star Wars fan. We spent about two hours there chatting with Nick and going through his museum. And of course, topping it off with a purchase. BigDawgRon...if you are reading this, I blame this purchase on you from this morning's scope [emoji6] It was a bit disappointing when we got back to the ship to find that there was not an entrance for YC members as I had previously read from here before. We had to enter in a single entrance with everyone else. When we asked about this, the said that they don't always set up an entrance for YC. So today we joined the masses. I know, first world problems [emoji6] Back in the YC now and having a quick lunch at the grill up on Deck 19 again. Here are today's offerings: And a Blue Hawaiian to wash it all down [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Forums

melski Posted July 24, 2018 #288 Share Posted July 24, 2018 Love reading your review! YC looks incredible! So glad you and hubby are having a great time. Just caught up on the blog and still have some scopes to catch up on as I have yet to be able to be on live during a scope. Can't wait to see about the rest of the week. frank808 Posted July 24, 2018 #291 Share Posted July 24, 2018 I remember that at St. Maarten there was a yc butler with his paddle in the afternoon. If we get back early, I have not seen the butlers there. The best benefit is in grand bahamas when you have to tender back and forth. Bypassing the long line waiting for a tender is a great perk. We usually board back early and the poor butlers are sometimes just standing in the sun with nothing to do. Sometimes there are just no lines until it gets close to boarding. This is exactly what I was wondering about and had requested; appreciate that you not only remembered but took the time. If the deck plans showed the cabin halls plus the central hall along with the various doorways between them, then I think it wouldn’t have seemed that the YC could be entered by simply skipping the concierge desk area.
