cruisinfever Posted July 24, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2018 I have been a loyal Royal Caribbean patron. We just booked a TACruise with celebrity. Can I use my RC credit card points for Celebrity. Is it worth getting a Celebrity credit card for the points since it’s $69.00 annual fee? I usually use my points for on board credit. Also will I find RC and Celebrity comparable. We are going on the Reflection.
39august Posted July 24, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2018 Yes, you can use your RCI Visa points on Celebrity. I believe you will find that X is better in many ways than RCI.
Jayandar Posted July 24, 2018 #3 Share Posted July 24, 2018 We find Celebrity is a notch better. We have the other, no-fee Celebrity Visa card and have been getting points for several years.
WestLakeGirl Posted July 24, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 24, 2018 If you have the royal Caribbean credit card there is no reason to get the other one
mandream Posted July 25, 2018 #5 Share Posted July 25, 2018 If you have the royal Caribbean credit card there is no reason to get the other one I would argue there is no reason to get either card. From a rewards standpoint they offer very low rewards. The right card or cards will vary based on your spending habits and how you intend to use rewards - but no matter what you can do better. The one and only thing these cards have going for them is that you get to look at a picture of a cruise ship each time you pull it out of your wallet. Here is a good and recent article covering much better cards (yes, the site receives advertising and or commissions for the cards reviewed but doesn't change the facts that these provide better returns). https://thepointsguy.com/guide/best-credit-cards-for-cruises/
