Athens Post cruise hotel recommendations and when to book

looking for some recommendations for an Athens hotel post cruise for June 2019..

 

First is it too early to book . I know you can book without paying a deposit so it seems like a no brainer but the prices seem a little high. When these hotel sites say there are only “ 2 rooms left” is that true or bogus?

 

Any hotels with great view of Acropolis ; nice breakfast , nice pool.

Bogus. The hotel booking sites get access to a couple of rooms at the hotel at a time. You can find all the rooms available at the hotel's own website.

 

You are perfectly safe going to the hotel website and booking there. Sometimes you can even find better rates.

 

The Athens Gate hotel is an excellent mid-priced hotel that meets your requirements. Except for the pool. You are unlikely to find a centrally located hotel with views of the Acropolis and a pool.
