We really liked universal Barcelona hotel , great location and really nice roof top pool and bar with a great view of the city, there is a few threads on Barcelona hotels on Spain board. Welcome to cruise critic, city is really great place to visit.

Not knowing your budget...1898 Hotel and The Jazz Hotel are great properties in a perfect location.

We'll add a 2nd for Hotel Universal Barcelona. We have stayed there twice & enjoy the location, views from the roof top, the rooms, breakfast & service. It's very convenient to La Rambla, Tapas, the waterfront, tram, train...

 

We also enjoyed our stay at Hotel Barcelona House, small property & adjacent to La Rambla.
