My question is - what excursions did you like? Ones to avoid? Ones you recommend?

What ports? Check with your roll call we normally do some excursions with fellow members which normally are private excursions.

Check the ports of call forums here, and localize to the exact ports you are going on. Also, the main cruise critic page has reviews of ships as well as ports of call. Go to your ship and find the reviews for the ports.

We rarely do any excursions....but we do research our ports prior to the cruise, so we know what there is in the vicinity, how to get there, etc. Most Caribbean ports are pretty easy to DIY. The only time I'd use a ship's excursion would be if the attraction is really far away, where a transportation breakdown or other delays might put us in jeopardy of missing the ship. Otherwise, we just do our own thing!

If you are stopping in Cozumel, check out Nachi Cocom Beach Break. It's not an excursion - you book it at home. You will have to take a cab ($20 each way) there. I believe it's $50 pp & includes drinks & 4 course meal which they will serve you right on the beach! Quiet beach - so relaxing! Check it out online. If our ship stops in Cozumel, that's where we'll be!
