Lalalucy Posted August 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2018 Does anybody know if Deck 12 has been carpeted since refurb? I run in early am and it’s usually wet and slippery. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Lalalucy Posted August 21, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted August 21, 2018 Sorry about that the ship is Mariner. And yes, I have been on other ships where the top deck has some type of cover because people do walk and run on the deck, it’s just safer.
Portolan Posted August 21, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 21, 2018 Not carpeted, but a rubberized surface which can still be slippery until the overnight dew and early morning washing dry off.

Pamela1 Posted August 21, 2018 #9 Share Posted August 21, 2018 We walk a lot on deck and if i remember there are mostly just steel flooring with a blue paint job on top, some faux wood decking? and some criss-crossed underlay...not sure. I think if you have proper running shoes it should be fine but in high winds and unstable conditions they will shut off the running deck off anyway. Pam. Portolan Posted August 21, 2018 #11 Share Posted August 21, 2018 Here's a picture of the current deck of Mariner. As I mentioned earlier, the tan areas (the track) are covered with some kind of non-skid surface, not just paint. Still, any surface will be slippery when wet.
