We are going on the same cruise soon and I was wondering if we need to exchange our US Dollars for Euros or if at any of the ports they will take US Dollar?

Just hit the ATM at the port if you need local currency. Credit cards are the way to go though, they are taken almost everywhere.

We will be on the Epic soon on a Mediterranean cruise. What currency is used in the casino? If I want to play the slots or sit down at a Black Jack table, will we need to use Euros or US Dollars?

Everything on the ship is in US Dollars.

All ports will take US Dollars and credit cards. But, it would be better to have some Euros at a preferred exchange rate. If you are staying in Barcelona/Rome before/after your cruise, you will need Euros for things like taxis or subways.

Personally, we stay at least a day before and after our cruise. And carry $500-$1000 USD in Euros for incidentals (ordered through AAA) depending on length of time pre/post-cruise.
