Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. For convenience and most times less cost, I opt for one of the two better known services.. Dependent on the number of people in your party, they can be more cost effective than paying for each person using either shuttle. Unlike shuttles, these better known services will pick me up based on my schedule and take me directly to my hotel in Galveston. Shuttles have predetermined departure times which may or may not match up with your arrival time. Additionally, the number of seats on a shuttle are limited. When the shuttle seats are all reserved, you need to reserve on the next available which could be later in the day. When you do make it to Galveston, the shuttles drop you off based on where your hotel falls into thedropoff circuit....you could be one of the first dropped off or you could be "taking a tour" of Galveston hotels until your hotel comes up.
  2. February 4th cruise, BeetleJuice was Friday and Saturday nights at 7 and 10. Friday night 7pm performance was cancelled due to technical issue. Icon not presented at all. No sure about Prom.
  3. Is there a reliable link that can be used to determine 2024 dry dock dates for NCL ships?
  4. For an upcoming 7 day, my precruise upgrade price is $109. For an upcoming 10 day, the precruise upgrade price is $230. For me, not having to deal with what "deals" are available once onboard and the time that it takes to mess with it then simply isn't worth it.
  5. They will not unlock or remove the balcony partititions.
  6. passport number and expiration date are required
  7. I've made a personal decision to look at when the OP joined CC and how many previous posts they have made before proceeding with any sort of comment for posts such as this one...maybe not true in all cases but when I see a post such as this one in which the OP joined CC yesterday and this is their first post....I move on.
  8. You don't mention which ship but if you are asking which I would choose of the three you listed, I would only choose Cagney's. You might consideras other options Le Bistro, Ocean Blue or Palomar again dependent on what ship you will be sailing and what you like. I would also skip Moderno and Teppanaki but again those two are just not at the top of my list.
  9. If dining at Teppanaki with children, be sure to clarify when seated if you want your children to eat off of the child's menu. Otherwise, they will likely assume that the child will be eating off of the regular menu and will charge accordingly.
  10. ...and there is always the possibility that the excursion will sell out....i.e. Santorini
  11. Here's my issue with Indulge....not so much the area itself but the people that occupy it. As some have said, it is not an extremely large area. My problem is that far too many cruisers go into the Indulge seating area and "camp out"....not to eat but instead to play cards or board games or read a book...and in doing so, make an already limited seating area even smaller.
  12. Been there, done that on the Prima in LeBistro. Highly doubt that I would do so again.
  13. My experience has been that there will be an "NCL representative" near the baggage claim area. You checkin with them and they direct you as to where to go. In most cases, the transfers involve a large bus and they make every effort to fill it up when they can....point being, it's likely not going to be an express service. Same deal on the return to the airport in that they fill up the bus and then they leave....
