If you have the deluxe beverage package you have already paid the gratuities. If you have not prepaid tips they will be added daily to your account. No need to tip any more unless you want to.

Are you asking about general tipping or tipping your bartender?

 

The gratuity added to your account daily is for housekeeping and dining services.

 

Your beverage package has an 18% gratuity included at time of purchase. Some folks still like to tip $1 per drink or similar, but it’s up to you. Not mandatory.

I tip extra for EXTRA service.

 

The pool bar bartender was making a trip to WJ for actual sugar to make our caipirhnas, I tipped $1 per drink for this extra service. one night at MDR, the waitress went above and beyond, so I tipped an extra $5.

 

But other than special cases, I tip no more than the auto grats.

I always give some extra tips upfront to Housekeeping and MDR staff to just get off on the right foot. Yes, they are already paid thru my gratuities but this does not amount to much with all the time and work they put in.

 

We always tip bartenders some extra $1 or $ 2 and this gives us great service and attention for the week.

 

Being a past service industry worker I believe in tipping extra.

 

Some will say they know how much they get paid with gratuities but I like to be generous so I give extra.

We pre pay our gratuities and then at end of cruise leave extra based on service.
