Will be disembarking at the Brooklyn terminal and then heading into Times Square for our hotel. Ship scheduled docking 7:15am. After leisure breakfast, would 9:15 am be good time to catch a taxi? Appreciate suggestions on time to leave ship.

You will get more answers if you post on the East Coast Departures Board.

9:15 could be a tad early. Book a car service like Dial7 or Carmellimo instead of risking a metered fare.

If you can roll your luggage, you could consider the accessible MTA ferry to Pier 11 Wall St and catching a cab from there. That would bypass any traffic jams in the tunnel or East River bridges. More details can be provided if you're interested.

With our experience with the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal sailing with the QM2, we use a local car service about 12 minutes away where we reside.

We have for other reasons used Dial 7 and have had excellent service with the vehicles and drivers during our use. We would rate them 5 stars. We never yet thought of using Dial 7 for cruise reasons as of yet.

Sailing out of the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal we have observed while leaving the terminal, a very large line up of city cabs on the out skirts of the pier complex waiting to be sent in several at a time not to congest the terminal area. Many private cars and limos transit to the pier to pick up passenger leaving.

I would not worry about having difficult getting a cab but a contracted car like Dial 7 would have a set price. Cost of the trip, if tolls used and gratitude calculated. They will want to know the number of passengers, luggage transporting, additional stops, etc.. so to assign the right size vehicle to be used.

Give Dial 7 a call and see what they quote. And the City also has a website that lets you calculate a cab ride from beginning to end to give you an estimate,

I would suggest a contracted vehicle to restfully complete your cruise and journey from point to point..

Bon Voyage
