soaddictive Posted September 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2018 We are 4 people visiting St.Thomas on January 28th for about 9 hours. We aren’t interested in diving/snorkeling. I looked at a tour to Hassel Island and a tour on a power cat to Congo Cay. Are there any better options? Which would you guys pick?
O2B@Cagain Posted September 2, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 2, 2018 If you are interested in history and hiking, Hassel Island is fascinating. Congo Cay would be a snorkel trip.
blue_water Posted September 2, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 2, 2018 Yes what activity are you interested in? A nice beach or cat sail,or possibly a trip to Jost Van Dyke or even Virgin Gorda? Or something more adventurous? Does the Champagne cat sail offered through the cruise line interest you?

blue_water Posted September 4, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 4, 2018 (edited) Then the Red Hook ferry to St John for an island tour with historic stops followed by a little time at Trunk or Cinnamon Bay would be perfect. Grab a taxi at the port (you will be directed to a taxi going to Red Hook), ferry 15 min to Cruz Bay, and drivers will be waiting for you. They will offer a tour for ~$25pp that includes some of the island history then drop you at the beach, or you can return to Cruz Bay for nice shopping and lunch. Be sure to check out the exquisite Hook bracelets at St John Bracelet Company if you do go. Very easy self-excursion and the cost is about $66pp. [EDIT] Going to STJ for a beach adds another ~1.5 - 2 hours of travel time. If you’d prefer more beach time, or time to see the historic buildings in Charlotte Amalie we’d suggest Sapphire Beach on the East End for the beach, $20 - 22/pp taxi round trip.
