Best way to get from Bergen airport to Viking Ocean ship in port

Would appreciate recommendations for getting from airport in Bergen, Norway to the Viking Jupiter in port. There are 4 of us, all with sizable luggage and carry-on smaller bags or backpacks. Are the taxis at the airport recommended or should we hire a private car???? Thanks for your help!

One thing we’ve taken advantage of is Expedia’s facility to book ground transportation. I’m sure other sites do something similar but we have been able to book and pay in advance seamlessly in a couple places. And it gives you the full range of options available to OTAs from trains and busses through to luxury personal chauffeurs. Not all options are available from all airports, FWIW

We took the flybussen, it was quick, easy and inexpensive. We arrived the night before then just walked from the hotel to the dock. We each travel with one 20 inch roller and a carryon. If you have lots of luggage, take a taxi.

Check out the Bergen guide for bus details. The airport bus stops between the Raddison Blu and Clarion, about a 10 minute walk from where Viking docks. There are a couple of hotels right there if you want to go to Bergen a day or 2 early. If going directly to the ship and have lots of luggage, probably a taxi is best. There is a local resident who answers Bergen questions on the Ports of Call board.

There are 4 of us traveling, and since we're no longer "young-uns", we prefer a taxi or private car (have a good bit of luggage too). How are the taxis at the airport?? Are there any problems to be wary of when getting a taxi?? Is the price fixed for the trip from airport to cruise port? Thanks

We took a taxi from the airport to a hotel close to the cruise terminal for $57 USD. It is fixed priced in NOK, but that't what was charged on my credit card. There were a line of them waiting, they take credit cards, and the trip was quick and relaxed.
