What should we do between cruise and 6pm flight POM to FLL?

This will be our first time cruising from Miami and we are just trying to figure out what to do before our flight instead of just hanging out at the airport and what we should do with our luggage? We are cruising with carnival and I see they have a Miami tour and an Everglades tour that then drops you off at the airport but I’m not sure if that is all worth it? What are your thoughts and recommendations? Thank you in advance!

The tours are good if you are interested, but will still drop you at FLL by about 1:0 or so.

You could shuttle or Uber to FLL, pay to store your bags there and then you are free to explore - beach, water taxi, boozy lunch, etc. http://www.sunny.org has lots of FLL area tourist info

You could Uber to South Beach and pay to store your bags at the Luggage Lounge - then you are free to explore Miami Beach: people watching, beach, brunch, art deco architecture, etc. Collect your bags in the afternoon and Uber to FLL

You could rent a car for the day, put the bags in the trunk, and go where you want.

Finally, you could look for day passes to hotels/resorts. Check http://www.resortpass.com for day passes in Miami and FLL
