Dear fozzy1975,

A cook is a cook, a Baker is a Chemist as it is an exact science.

A tu test for any cruise ship is Cheese cake made with Cream Cheese..

I have read some reviews about new cakes in the buffet. Any idea what ships these are on and if and when they will be rolled out on all ships? The current desserts now in the lido are not so great. Thanks!!

We had the new cakes on the Breeze in August. We even had a carnival member come do a short survey on the cake offerings. All the ones we tried were very good. We do , however, still really like the cakes from the coffee shop. And my husband loves the melting chocolate cake, he has one every night. They make it just right for him once he explains the consistency he is looking for.

That's great to hear, thanks for the answer! I'm also picky with how I like my melting cake. I don't like it super runny. Sometimes they accommodate, sometimes not.

Off the Horizon 1 week ago. The new cakes are amazing! They have different varieties every day, if I remember correctly 5 different choices. They are cut to order. They have several different Checkerboard cakes that are as delicious as they look. These cakes would be $8-$9/slice at a fancy land based restaurant and they would be worth it - but all part of you regular cruise fare here!
