Island Princess Oct. 31 to partial Panama Canal..

Looking for info on Island Princess and Panama Canal sailing Oct. 31st,,, We are 2 seniors and have gone thru the Panana Canal, but not the partial.....Any tips on excurisons, the canal, and the ship??? Thanks....

When we did the partial canal we took the train to Panama City and back. They transferred us to buses for the tour of the city and Miraflores Locks on the Pacific side. The tain cars were observation domes with a guide in each car plus each train car was put on their own tour bus. The train books up months before the cruise. We would highly recommend it if you want to see the Pacific side locks and the city.

 

At our table that night we had a couple who had taken the tour through the canal on a smaller boat. They had ended up behind a slow moving freighter and returned to the ship late (we had late TD) just barely making dinner.
