Jennizor Posted September 26, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2018 We have sailed on all the P&O ships except for Oceana and Aurora (plus Iona of course). We are looking at a Med cruise on Oceana in 2020. We usually book mid ship, can anyone help with what deck is best please.
marylizcat Posted September 26, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 26, 2018 We booked one on Lido deck because it was so handily positioned. Straight out on deck or up one flight of stairs to the buffet. Liked it so much we booked it again the next time! However be warned that the balcony is small and metal style. The bathroom is the tiniest you have ever seen. The cabin is pretty small too. Keep your expectations fairly low. We still had great cruises. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Rare Presto2 Posted September 28, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 28, 2018 Personally we wouldn't go with the Lido deck and always go for A deck. We tend to go as far as we can to the front though ! Last year my brother and SIL came with us and as one suffered from sea sickness we booked them midships on deck B. It was close enough to the lifts and they loved it Don't go for C deck as the balconies are smaller (not as open) If you don't smoke then go for a balcony on starboard as, if you are midships on Port Side, you will be over the prom deck where people can smoke. Any more questions re this lovely ship just ask
marylizcat Posted September 28, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 28, 2018 Surprised you avoid the Lido cabins. Another good point was that they are very quiet as there is very little passing traffic. Not a through route for passengers other than the few domiciled there.
