We just got off the bliss today. The crew are going do a little cleaning and a staff party prior to picking you guys up tomorrow. They were filming commercials during our sailing that affected access to certain areas but I think they will be done with that when you board. Aft elevator use or stairs instead of forward elevators REALLY helps with ease of getting around the ship. Forward elevators pretty packed. Beautiful ship and we enjoyed our first big ship experience. Found it very easy to get around onboard. We didn’t experience any issues getting race track ressies and specialty dining times. We really enjoyed speciality venues and the Local. Have a great time!

We were on this sailing also. Second trip to Alaska, first time on Norwegian, and loved the experience. Bliss is a beautiful ship, we spent a lot of time in the Observation Lounge with 4 other family members. Great place to visit and play games. Food was excellent, and staff were very friendly and attentive. Loved the hand washing stations at the entrance to the buffet, and we're still saying "washy, washy". Jersey Boys was a great entertainment choice. A bit disappointed in the glacier since we'd seen Hubbard on our first time to Alaska. Will definitely sail on Bliss again.

Did you stay on board in LA? My one experience with b2b with the LA port wasn't a positive one, wondering how it was for you?

We stayed on board because the ship was cleared in SF we did not have to leave the ship

In Ensenada we took the ship's excursion to La Bufarora, and to the Cultural Center which was once a hotel and casino owned by boxer Jack Demsey. Among the things I learned is that many of the toilets in Mexico are pay to play toilets. At La Bufadora I gave the attendant a dollar and told her,“Para nosotros dos” she gave us toilet paper. We were told not to flush the toilet paper but rather to throw it in a waste basket. Apparently the pipes are too small and flushing toilet paper may clog the system.

At one of the street shops we bought a dress for our grand daughter. I bargained the price down from $25 o $18. For Halloween our granddaughter will be una nina Mexicano.

Our tour guide, Belen, was excellent. She said if we wanted to give her a poor rating, her name is Marie.

Adios Ensenada, hasta luego

Back on the ship, C'est soir est la, the French version of Oh what a night.

We went to see Jersey Boys again. C'est Magnifique.

The CC meet and greet, organized by Meekofigaro (Kerry) was a success. She even arranged for invitations

to be delivered to the cabins of the guests. CD Silas hosted. AmazonPrincess (Debbie) who designed the shirts also brought other goodies.

Sunday was a sea day. We went around the ship to see what we could see. There is a mini bowling alley and arcade hidden inside the Local. It's $5 a bowling game. There is a huge Bliss model on the port side of the observation lounge. It's fun trying to locate your cabin on the model. A smaller version of a model can be found in the gift shop for $50. We he drinks in the Observation Lounge bar where Lovely the bartender works.

At dinner at Teppanyaki, our cook destroyed several eggs doing tricks. He said there are 30,000 eggs and 1 chicken aboard. I had that chicken for dinner.

Later at the Captain's party we met with Laura who regaled us with stories of her family, her time in the theater and her failed attempt to take out a platter of meat from Q on her scooter. We also met Kerry and Chad, CC M&G organizers.

If you are on this cruise, post here or say “Hi”.

I call this the "water slide of death". It drops you almost straight down, flings you over the side of the ship and plops you (hopefully) back again all while forcing water up your
nose like waterboarding. I was going to yell "Geronimo" but that's not PC so I settled on "Ay Caramba".
I could only get out the Ayyy. Won't do this again.

We received this book from the Bliss staff as a gift. I don't know if it's a tank you for this thread or for all the money we've spent but I'm easy. Give me a bottle of wine or a nice book and i'll sing your praises. 😁
