Scenic cruising is just that. The ship sails into a scenic area, whether it’s in Alaska, Norway, Argentina, New Zealand, etc. and slows down so that passengers can enjoy the scenery. Expert commentary is broadcast to public areas about what you’re seeing. In fjords, the ship turns around very slowly so that passengers on both sides of the ship can view the scenery.

Scenic cruising is like driving around a neighborhood during the holidays to look at all the Christmas lights.

Only someone else is doing the driving and you aren't cramped in a car :D so everyone gets to enjoy incredible scenic vistas!
